At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading for $23,883.84, up 3% in the past 24 hours, while Ethereum is trading for $1,673.74, up 5.6% in the past 24 hours. Both coins showed gains amidst Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell suggesting that the U.S. central bank is seeing signs of waning inflation. As expected by many, the Federal Open Market Committee lifted its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a new range of 4.5%-4.75%, the highest level in 15 years. In its policy statement, the central bank said “ongoing increases” in borrowing costs will be necessary to further cool inflation. Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood has been calling for deflation for quite some time and has suggested that the market is leading the fed. In an interview with CNBC, Cathie reiterated where she sees the market going and increased her Bitcoin bullish sentiment. Cathie previously called for Bitcoin to reach $500,000 per coin, but now she believes that value can increase by 2030. Cathie also doubled down on her prediction of how AI will affect every industry and every job, sooner than we think. The release of ChatGPT to the open public has given the masses a taste of what Cathie has been saying for years now that we are just at the beginning of disruptive technology.
