In other words, recession proofing.

You see its very common to hear about certain sectors of the stock market that are meant to be recession proof. like the value sector. These are like Consumer Staples, industrials, utilities etc.

These sectors are commonly known to be defensive investments, and that are represented by well known ETFs, which are heavily favoured amongst conservative investors for their healthy dividend yields.

But Then you also have other options like short duration bonds or bond ETFs that take advantage of high interest rates in a recession to provide steady and consistent cash flow.

Now there's also high Dividend yield etfs, like covered call ETFs that use a covered call strategy on their underlying holdings to provide extremely high dividend yields to investors as a source of income and stability, upwards of 10 to 12%.

What if I told you that one of these options is actually not as good as you thought it was, and may have many investors fooled.
What many people don't realize is that certain investments can sometimes correlate with a completely separate set indicators or sectors of the markets, a relation that is almost hidden until you do some digging.
