The highest peak in Karnataka and probably one of the most beautiful peaks in India - Mullayanagiri Peak. With its head held high at 6330 ft above sea level, the peak tops the list of places to visit in Chikmagalur.Just before reaching the top of the hill, one can come across a mantap with Nandi inside it. There is a path just besides it leading to the caves. It is believed that sages used to meditate here. This is on the leeward side of the hill, where there is absolute silence and no winds at all. കർണാടകയിലെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയരമുള്ള കൊടുമുടിയും ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും മനോഹരമായ കൊടുമുടികളിലൊന്നായ മുല്ലയനഗിരി കൊടുമുടിയും. സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽ നിന്ന് 6330 അടി ഉയരത്തിൽ തല ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ചിക്മഗലൂരിൽ സന്ദർശിക്കേണ്ട സ്ഥലങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഒന്നാമതാണ്. കുന്നിൻ മുകളിൽ എത്തുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ്, അതിനകത്ത് നന്ദിയുമായി ഒരു മാന്തപ്പ് കാണാം. ഗുഹകളിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പാതയുണ്ട്. മുനിമാർ ഇവിടെ ധ്യാനിക്കാറുണ്ടെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. കുന്നിന്റെ കുത്തനെയുള്ള ഭാഗത്താണ് ഇത്, അവിടെ തികഞ്ഞ നിശബ്ദതയുണ്ട്, കാറ്റില്ല.
