ARK Invest invests in disruptive technology like AI, DNA sequencing, electric vehicles, and blockchain technology, all growth industries that have been hammered by the high interest rate environment.
Ark Invest charges a management fee of 0.75% which is double the average for actively-managed ETFs.
The ETF has lost about 76% from its mid-Feb 2001 peak.
In February 2021 it was at almost $160 a share and it was less than $30 a share in December 2022.
