UK taxpayers have spent a record 1.7 million pounds fixing botched cosmetic surgery procedures carried out overseas, costing the NHS enormous amounts of money.
Cheap flights, package deals and a surplus of surgeries have made Turkey the top destination for Brits “desperate for the body of their dreams”, said TalkTV contributor Rosanna Lockwood.
According to Ms Lockwood, British cosmetic surgeons have accused their Turkish counterparts of using the NHS as a “taxpayer-funded safety net” for their poor aftercare.
